On the record: where I stand

Roads & safety

Safer roads and repairs that get delivered, from Station Road to the Pyebush Roundabout.

Where I stand

The state of our roads is one of the things residents are most animated about, and as a driver I feel it too. Station Road over the railway bridge was a tricky one, managed by Network Rail with its own rules and fees, but we said we would get it resurfaced, and it has been. Safety matters as much as surfaces: I have been to St Mary & All Saints Primary School to see the speeding, parking and crossing problems near Maxwell Road first-hand with parents. I will keep pushing for safer crossings, clearer school-zone signs and repairs that get delivered.

Questions people ask

Has the Station Road railway bridge in Beaconsfield been resurfaced?

Yes. Buckinghamshire Highways completed the resurfacing of Station Road over the railway bridge in 2025, after many residents raised its condition. Jackson Ng had explained that this stretch is managed by Network Rail, with its own regulations, an inspector's permission and a fee of £5k–6k, and had pressed for it to be done. He wrote: “We said we would deliver this - and we have.”

What is Jackson Ng doing about road safety near schools?

Invited by St Mary & All Saints Primary School, Jackson Ng saw the traffic problems near Maxwell Road first-hand: speeding, bottlenecks, illegal parking and unsafe crossings. He has said he remains committed to pushing forward proposed safety measures, from safer crossings and clearer school-zone signage to better traffic management, working with fellow councillors and Buckinghamshire Council.

How do I report a pothole in Beaconsfield?

Potholes, street lights and other road faults are fixed fastest when reported directly to Buckinghamshire Council through its online pothole and road problem forms. Jackson Ng asks residents to tell him too, especially if a fault has been reported before and not fixed, so that he can chase it. Both routes are on the contact page of this site.
