Pushing for infrastructure funding to match expansion

Jackson pressing for infrastructure funding at the Growth, Infrastructure and Housing Select Committee

The Government is mandated Buckinghamshire to build 95,000 more houses. We obviously need infrastructure investment to match this expansion to prevent overcrowded schools, overwhelmed GP surgeries, gridlocked roads etc.

This week I asked tough direct questions to the Council exec and officers on calculating any funding gaps, push for any representations to the central government and sought to see whether any funding pots were applied to. I won’t shy away from pushing for more for our residents given the inevitable disruption these developments may have to existing residents.

You can watch some highlights here.
