Scrutiny in Action: tough questions on the East & South Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee

action

Recently I scrutinised a planning application in Beaconsfield on the Buckinghamshire Council East & South Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee. Having taken soundings from the concerns of ten households and hearing directly from the local town council, I was keen to dive into the detail to push the applicant and Buckinghamshire Council officers on the justifications of a particular development application that’s within a designated area of special character. I was elected under a mandate to protect the special character of Beaconsfield and I will therefore uphold that high standard whenever an application gets in front of a committee I’m a member of.
