My family and I value the Green Belt. It is one of the reasons why I entered politics in the first place.
As a local resident in Beaconsfield, raising my family here, one of the joys of living here is our green spaces, protected by the Green Belt. I admit I do a fair amount of walking, given my three dogs demand it!
Having spoken to hundreds off residents, the message as always been consistent: we all care about preserving our green spaces.
But this is at risk. Labour are imposing a tidal wave of houses on us and we need organised competent Councillors to challenge them.
I sit on our planning committee, and as a trained lawyer, I’ve been using my expertise to take the necessary action to scrutinise these developments, including preserving green spaces and prioritising developments not on our pristine green spaces but in brownfield sites instead.
Only the Conservatives, with our voting bloc and organisation, can muster a real force to resist this. Labour will just agree with the government and the Lib Dems are in a mess, with a number of their councillors infighting and even resigning.
I will continue to keep fighting for local residents on this issue. I would love your views on this, if you have time, please do take the chance to fill in my survey on this topic here.
