Your views on Beaconsfield's Green Belt

As a local Conservative Councillor in Beaconsfield, I have always been so passionate about our green space and the precious Green Belt which surrounds and protects our Town. However we are under massive pressure from developers, and the national Labour Government, who are imposing thousands of houses upon us, as well as diluting the historic protections of green spaces.

I would love your views on this important topic as we continue to challenge developers to ensure the character of our town is protected.

Extremely important

The Green Belt is a specially designated  area of open land around a town, including in Beaconsfield, where development has historically been restricted to prevent urban sprawl and maintain our green spaces. How important is this area to you?

Do you agree with us that development should be prioritised in used brownfield sites - and not pristine Green Belt spaces?
I agree that new developments should focus on brown field sites. A brownfield site is defined as any land that has previously been built on.
I am unsure on my position on this.
I think its fine building on the Green Belt
