Jackson is an experienced civic and business leader and a local resident in Beaconsfield since 2016, where he lives with his wife, two children and his three dogs.
First elected as the Unitary Councillor for Beaconsfield at Buckinghamshire Council in 2021, Jackson is currently serving his second term, having been re-elected in May 2025.
Jackson is has a number of key responsibilities, including:
- Chair, Standards and General Purposes Committee — leading the Council’s ethics and transparency agenda across a £1 bn unitary authority.
- Member, Growth, Infrastructure and Housing Select Committee — scrutinise major infrastructure projects, local-plan delivery and strategic housing policy.
- Member, East & South Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee — determine applications affecting some 160,000 residents across the east and south of the county.
Jackson previously served on the Strategic Sites Committee and the Finance & Resources Select Committee.
Jackson is also a proud former Mayor of Beaconsfield, as well as its former Deputy Mayor and continues to serve as a member of Beaconsfield Town Council since 2017. In this capacity he also contributed as a member of the finance committee.
In elected office, Jackson has consistently fought for local residents, including successfully challenging inappropriate development on our Green Belt, pushed for fair council tax policies, improving public safety, seeking better road maintenance and sought action against fly-tipping.
Professionally, Jackson is a senior barrister and partner for a global law firm, with a focus on civil and commercial litigation. He holds accreditation as a mediator and was previously an senior executive in a global consulting firm, where he regularly advised C-suite executives on geopolitics and corporate reputation.
Since 2013, Jackson has held various elected and appointed positions within the Conservative Party, including as a parliamentary candidate in the 2015 and 2017 General Election. In Beaconsfield, he was elected Deputy Chair (Political) of Beaconsfield Constituency Conservative Association (BCCA) from 2017 to 2018 before becoming its chairman from 2019 to 2021. He was also the Deputy Director of the Conservative Party’s Policy Forum and Director of the Conservative Friends of the Chinese.
Fluent in four languages, Jackson's international perspective is enriched by his experiences living in Singapore, Australia, and The Netherlands.
